Signal announce work around for anti blocking ! This technique, has it’s downside too ..
We think for chat it’s ok, but for VoIP routing high volume of traffic to “google” from a single device pretending it’s search traffic, sounds to me as a fairly easy pattern to identify and block. There are much smarter tools out there than just looking at traffic destination based on DNS.
See Pryvate’s solution works across all communications even VoIP . Plus Signals traffic goes to google, ok it’s encrypted but still they have a trace device to the server. Its a single point of failure. If google is blocked then there is no traffic.
